A modular PDC in Wellington?

This week I’d like to crowdsource some inspiration from you. First some background: I’ve been teaching a few Permaculture Design Certificate courses (PDC’s) over the past years, as part of a team of teachers in France. I decided to stop that as I moved here permanently, but now the opportunity has come up to create a modular PDC to be taught here in Wellington over 2016.

I know some amazing teachers around here, and I’d love to build a team with them. But there’s a lot of work involved in creating and running PDC’s and most tutors end up with a scant remuneration for the massive effort. And of course, I wouldn’t want it to be too expensive for people either! It would be great to be able to offer the traditional contents of a PDC in a modular format, which fits in with people’s worklife and doesn’t require 2 full weeks away from everything. So I must admit I’m rather keen. Buuuuuuut…

Would you like to come to a modular PDC next year? It would probably end up being 13-15 days, spead out between April and August, for a total cost of $1250, so less than $100 / day. Top notch permaculture tutors from this bio-region, who’ve got experience from around the world, and teaching sessions on the subjects they’re most passionate about. A central city classroom, in an edible garden setting…

What would you expect? What would make you sign up, and what would put you off? Who among your friends would be interested? Do you have any ideas around it all? I’d love to hear from you!

Workshops resume in January, with 101 Food Growing on Thursday 7th, 6.30pm. Registrations are open!
